Vitra Black Brass Ball Clock EX-DISPLAY
The Vitra Popsicle wall clock has a playful yet uniformed design and is part of George Nelson's iconic clock collection.
Nelson developed his collection during the booming era that was 1950s America; a time of rapid economic prosperity where people strove to be 'modern'. With the aim of bringing forward-thinking design into people's homes, Nelson developed a legendary collection of clocks, lamps and other domestic accessories that have stood the test of time and now define mid-century modern design. The clock's diverse shape, made up from a structure of flat walnut rods, resembling as the name suggests, popsicle sticks, creates a true centrepiece and a defining focal point in a room.
With an ethos rooted in the belief that thoughts and feelings can be positively influenced by the good design around us, Vitra collaborates with designers and architects from all over the world to create life-improving homeware and furniture. Today, Vitra comprises an educational campus and a design museum, with recent developments putting the focus on the sustainable future of their iconic pieces ranging from chairs to clocks.
