Fantastik Oilcloth Bunting
This set of two figures represents Lakshmi and Ganesha, two of the most popular gods of the Hindu pantheon. Lakshmi is generally invoked by her devotees to generate wealth and prosperity, while Ganesha - the elephant god - is considered the obstacle remover and lord of intelligence.
The devotees in India traditionally worship these two deities together, especially in shops and stores. They believe that obtaining wealth without intellect can only result in the misuse of this prosperity. Therefore, one must first acquire intelligence (Ganesha) to spend wealth (Lakshmi) in the right way.
