Archivist Giant Box of Matches The Duel
Giant Box of - Taj Mahal
Sometimes the supersize version of the ordinary thing is just want you really really want. So a giant matchbox fills that brief.
Archivist have taken 3 of their great designs - which themselves are influenced by classic Indian matchbox designs of the 20th Century - and have scaled them up.
Each box contains 150 which are made from orange, pink and yellow coloured wood with a white tip. The long side of the box is the strike surface.
Would make an excellent for a pyromaniac!
Archivist uses the traditional letterpress printing technique to create its range of cards and stationery. Founded in 1994 by Sarah and William Allardice, the brand aims to create timeless pieces that imbue a sense of fun, as well as being useful. Archivist’s luxury matches come in printed boxes that double as keepsakes themselves, making them an ideal gift, whilst the charming designs on their greeting cards offer universal appeal. Some of London’s finest museums back the brand; the V&A are a stockist and the Natural History Museum commissioned its own collection.
